Gifted not only with creative talent, but with a heart that shines through in her work, her words, and her daily life. She started her twenties as a creative, adventurous, and very active young woman, but by her mid-twenties, domestic violence put her in a coma for 10 months, followed by a long rehab where she had to relearn how to do everything. Through it all, her creativity was there. She found creative ways to do things again, she relied on creativity to get her through the frustration, anger, and sadness, and she lives for her creativity today, as a painter, as a self-published author, and hopefully getting back into her photography one day. Lindsay is living an amazing life, and she feels a strong need to share both her experience and her creativity, so she is seen and can find her community.

If anyone is looking for a speaker related to domestic violence, and its impact on those involved, please reach out to Lindsay Ferraro on Facebook. She is also interested in connecting with anyone else who may be finding their way back out of a traumatic event. She's got the tools, and mindset to help you rediscover yourself.

Also, if you know of a coffee shop that is willing to exhibit and sell Lindsay's paintings, please leave me a message. This is a dream of hers, and she is painting all the time. She'd love to find a space to exhibit her work.

If you're looking for a way to get yourself up and out there as far as writing goes, I'd recommend doing this type of challenge. It gave me the incentive to do something I had let go for quite a while... write fiction. In this story, we meet two brothers who had become estranged. No specific reason is given, but at this point in life, life has been pared down to the barest of essentials, and family, love, and shared memories outweigh jealousies, and choices for different paths. I hope you enjoy.

But to be honest, he's been a full-time creative mind since he was in grade school. In our discussion Nathan talks about creativity as a young child, fully supported by his family, and how important #familysupport is. He also talks about #findingyourtribe which for him meant connecting with people who got him as he entered the end of his high school career and went to Niagara County Community College #NCCC to major in Sports Management. He remembers his own childhood creativity, where he and his friends rearranged an entire living room to film a mock talk show while his mom was out of town, and how he got started with a youtube channel at a young age. He loved to create sports logos, and even reported on stats and scores for his neighborhood teams. That's where that sports management dream comes in.

Nathan believes that you need to find people who "get you." Transitioning from childhood dreams to adult creativity requires finding friends who support your creativity and give you the confidence to explore new things. He feels confident that this supportive group of friends is the kind that becomes #friendsforlife. He also acknowledges that creativity takes time. You may fail, but you need to be okay with that, knowing that creativity and success come in their own time. He's currently rebranding his work, and you can catch all his activity on linktr.ee/ivyleague_Collective.

During our conversation, Nathan talks about his inspiration for his "just do it" approach, including #RussellSalvatore, comedians who supported him at @HeliumComedy, and creating your own opportunity, as he did when suggesting scripts, and acting in some advertising that has been featured at the local drive-in, but was his start when he was much younger. He also participates in a D&D podcast named @questedpod also linked to from the linktree site provided.

His work is carried on Spotify, Apple, SoundCloud, and others. Nathan is a younger creative who has big plans but believes in patience and allowing a creative life to find its way without being forced. I hope you enjoy the episode.

Pring is based in Thailand. From designing clothing and shoes for art installations to selling her clothing online, developing travel content on her favorite city Bangkok, and being a spokesperson for her brand, she's living a creative life, and constantly adding to it. Pring has been featured in Travel and Leisure Asia, NationThailand.com, and Asian Hustle Network.

We had a great discussion that covered a range of topics including creativity and flair in childhood and the difference between parental expectations in Thailand vs. the US. She also talked about how COVID impacted her business and required her to get creative and explore upcycling, sourcing fabric from existing clothing from vendors who couldn't get their product out into the world. She is also a lover of folklore and her own country's traditions and beliefs about the Himmapan Forest, and the spirit found within all things. Her upcoming, yet-to-be-named podcast, will feature both her designs, and perspectives from a sommelier, as they talk about wine, fashion, and how both come together in life. I could go on, and we may do another episode in the future, but if you like fashion, creativity, sustainable businesses, or business people making their own universe, this is the episode for you.

It was a short story a day and I found it to prompt a lot of thinking about life, experience, love, sadness, and being a part of a community. In this episode, I did a lot of thinking about how I'm living in my younger self's future. Is it what I thought? Am I happy with it? And what does my future look like now. I also provide some tips on creating a future you can look forward to at any age, and enjoy as it arrives... or as with my writing, it never arrives, but you can still enjoy the journey.

Kim enjoyed drawing, poetry, and music when she was young, but never really hooked into that creative side of herself. Flash forward 25 years or so and she faced a health struggle that almost took her life. Once she'd regained her health, she was unable to continue working full-time, so began providing support for her mom, and volunteering with a local environmental action organization. She also went back to pursuing music and joined three choruses! We chat about those changes, how she got herself out there at a vulnerable time of her life, and what her hopes are for the future of her own creativity. It's a great story. I've personally experienced a variety of traumatic events that possibly or definitely impacted my creativity, its growth, its health, and its continued partnership in my life. While studies have been done on isolation with infants, lack of social interaction, etc. (quite unpopular and with very sad results)I'm looking at this from a different perspective. While that isolation has a negative impact, do some children come out of their situation with a more fertile imagination? And does that imagination feed their creativity later in life? Or does inherent creativity help them survive those early days?

I've begun doing some research on this topic. Not that I'm an expert, or considering pursuing a career, but just because my personal experience makes me wonder. Today's episode begins that discussion, posing more questions than answers, but introducing the topic of trauma in childhood as a catalyst for creative style, strength, and direction in life. We wouldn't wish these things on anyone, but what is the result if it happens?

Some of my guests have experienced life-altering trauma, and have come through it different, but stronger, and still creative, but perhaps more intensely or entirely different than their pre-trauma existence. It's an interesting topic and just one of many that grow from a discussion on creativity in all its forms.

That being said, we were all reminded regularly not to worry, not to stress, and to complete the process at our own pace. Life happens, calendars are full, and for some, ending up with a podcast wasn't really the goal anyway. But for me, it was, and in this episode I talk through the final processes, how to launch my podcast, how many episodes a week I'll have and the like. It's a record of where I started, and an important one! Never forget, we all have to start somewhere.
