This episode features another short story I wrote as part of a recent Writers Digest Short Story Challenge. Specifically, they asked us to use a family member's favorite phrase or quote as inspiration for a short story. I had a close relationship with my mother, and have many stories and quotes from her. I chose two to feature in this short story and found some important reminders about how we face life, and life changes, and keep a positive outlook even when we're feeling like things are destined to go wrong.
