In this episode, I chat with Kim Nelson, the daughter of someone I sang with years ago. Kim enjoyed drawing, poetry, and music when she was young, but never really hooked into that creative side of herself. Flash forward 25 years or so and she faced a health struggle that almost took her life. Once she'd regained her health, she was unable to continue working full-time, so began providing support for her mom, and volunteering with a local environmental action organization. She also went back to pursuing music and joined three choruses! We chat about those changes, how she got herself out there at a vulnerable time of her life, and what her hopes are for the future of her own creativity. It's a great story.
