In today's episode, I chat with Pring Bunnag of Sucette, a sustainable and ethical fashion brand focused on silk couture that gives a contemporary edge to the traditional Thai sarong or SIN dress while honoring Thai craftspeople, and their products. Pring is based in Thailand.
From designing clothing and shoes for art installations to selling her clothing online, developing travel content on her favorite city Bangkok, and being a spokesperson for her brand, she's living a creative life, and constantly adding to it. Pring has been featured in Travel and Leisure Asia, NationThailand.com, and Asian Hustle Network. 

We had a great discussion that covered a range of topics including creativity and flair in childhood and the difference between parental expectations in Thailand vs. the US. She also talked about how COVID impacted her business and required her to get creative and explore upcycling, sourcing fabric from existing clothing from vendors who couldn't get their product out into the world. She is also a lover of folklore and her own country's traditions and beliefs about the Himmapan Forest, and the spirit found within all things. Her upcoming, yet-to-be-named podcast, will feature both her designs, and perspectives from a sommelier, as they talk about wine, fashion, and how both come together in life.
